Day 4 Agra Taj Mahal

A hair raising ride out of Delhi heading for Agra 200kms away. Our youngish driver should be in Tokyo Drift. Once outside of Delhi we are on an expressway. 100kph speed limit. We however were travelling between 130kpm & 150kph. The expressway was surprisingly quiet, maybe as it is a toll road.
Another hair raising ride as we enter Agra to our hotel. We had lunch then headed off to another fort, pretty amazing stuff, helped by a great guide. After that was of course, the so called shops he takes us to, so he can get a commission. We didn't help his cause I am afraid.
Back to the hotel for a while, then off to the Taj close to sunset, same guide.
As we walk through a huge gate, arch the Taj comes into site, wow, amazing, it is everything and more than any pictures could give you. Stunning is the word, at least one of them anyway. Took tons of pictures. Even Jon-Luke thought it was cool, pretty good for a 14 year old.
It was bloody hot today, got to 43 degrees & humid. Talk about sweat.
Back to the Hotel for dinner, we were shattered, this brought on a bit of a thirst, & Vince & I consumed maybe one to many Kingfisher Strong Indian beers. Tasted pretty good though. A we bit rough this hot & humid morning though.
I broke my camera an hour before going to the Taj, a guy at the hotel offered to take me into town on is motorcycle to a place to buy a new one. Into the mad traffic, horns tooting, weaving in & out, wearing shorts & tee shirt only. Then of course getting touched by the shop owner as he new I needed a camera. Oh well, had no choice.

Overall it was well worth the trip to Agra. Having breakfast soon then heading back to Delhi for a rest day.
