Day 8 Narkanda

To Narkanda approx 70kms.
A good first real ride, not being to long, getting to know the bikes a bit better plus having for the first time negotiate city driving which when you are in charge is quite challenging, with horns tooting all around. Narrow roads just wide enough for two small cars, but not for trucks & buses. We all made it through unscathed.
Once out side the city we were on some quite good roads, along the way we head up this huge hill, wow amazing, sheer drop offs, with few barriers, but thank goodness a good road. As we got closer to Narkander the roads got worse, where seal had broken up badly, leaving gravel & pot holes. The Hotel we stayed at was more of a lodge was 8kms off the main road & was more of a goat track, only one vehicle wide, with one patch near the Hotel which was very slippery mud, one person had a tumble.
This place was approx 10200ft high, & from where we parked the bikes, there was about 150 meter walk to our lodgings, down hill, which of course we had to walk up the next day, exhausting.
To make matters worse, for me anyway was the dreaded "Delhi Belly" which I got the day before, really sore lower tummy, & of course the other thing. Made riding very painful & difficult. The cabins were pretty simply, is a good word, but they kept the rain out. Didn't eat, but did sort of sleep alot. Amazing place really considering where it was.
